Today on our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, we’re going to be test fitting the Inno multi fork lock roof bike rack, part number INA392. We already have our bike installed on the rack. Let’s go and take a closer look and show up some of the features. Now, how this bike is actually attached to the rack, we’re not going to have any frame contact at all. Instead, it’s going to be held in place by this front locks or this front skewer that holds your bike by its fork mounts as well as this rear wheel strap. Now, this rear wheel strap plate is movable along the bike rack itself so this will accommodate different sized bikes.

That’s also lockable here at the top so once you have your bike installed, both your bike rack and your bike are secured onto your vehicle. Now, with the bike attached, I would like to point out that we’re not going to have any clearance issues at all between our hatch and the bike rack once it is installed in this configuration. Let’s go ahead and take the bike off and set it to the side. We’ll start off by pushing in on this tab here at the rear wheel strap and pushing that up and out of the way. Then we’ll come up towards the front here. We’ll unlock the top cover, move our cover here for our skewer.

Then before we release the skewer, we’ll make sure we’re holding onto our bike because we don’t want it falling into the vehicle or onto us once we loosen this up. Grab our bike and set it aside. How this actually attaches to your rack, there’s going to be two rubber coated steel straps. We have one on the rear here. You just lift up this cover and there’s a turning knob which actually tighten that down and around your bar. Right now, we have it wrapped around our factory roof rack but this will also work with square, round, aero and elliptical bars as well.

Up at the front here, we have same configuration here with this turn knob. Once it’s tightened down, you’ll fold it back down and lock it into place. There you have it for the Inno multi fork rooftop bike rack, part number INA392 on our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan. Here it is on our test course. We’ll start by going through the slalom. This is going to show us the side to side action which simulates turning corners or evasive maneuvers.

Next, we’re at the alternating speed bumps which we’ll see the twisting action. This will simulate hitting a curb or pothole or driving over uneven pavement. Finally, we have the full speed bumps where we’ll see the up and down action which is just like driving out of a parking lot, garage or driveway.
