In this video we discuss the reasons why DODGE changed their name to RAM trucks. In 2009 FCA decided to change the name of their truck division from Dodge Ram to RAM Trucks for 2010. This move was made in the midst of the 2008 financial crisis in which some believe was to sector their lineup just in the event one should fail it would not affect the other. Other reasons are the FCA wanted to focus their DODGE brand on performance oriented vehicles and not include the truck with this brand imaging.
What is your opinion on this matter? Do you still call it a Dodge Ram 1500 or do you call it a RAM 1500 or RAM1500? To many it is hard to not call this Mopar vehicle a Dodge as it has been called for many many years with Chrysler.
