Speaker 1: Today, we’re taking a look at the Pro-Grip SR Track with Anchors.Now, this track system allows you to easily adjust an anchor point while securing your cargo. This would be great for truck beds, trailers, cargo vans and so on. The track, which is this piece here, it simply mounts to a secure location with the included hardware. It also comes with end caps to cover the ends of the tracking, gives it a really nice finished look and then on each track is one carriage anchor.Now, more carriage anchors can be purchased. They are sold separately. They are available at etrailer.com.
But this kit comes with two tracks, two anchors, and the necessary hardware. But this carriage anchor can slide anywhere along the track so you just lift up on this piece here, you can slide it, it’s spring loaded so it engages automatically wherever you need it. Really nice design. Again, you can slide it anywhere. So those anchors slide anywhere along the track to relocate the anchor points whenever needed.
Allows you to move the anchors when and where you need them and it’s adjustable in 4-inch increments.So you’ll notice that we also have these cone-shaped holes. Those are the mount holes for our hardware. That allows our hardware to lay flat. This anchor will engage in that, but it’s not as strong of a connection so I highly recommend that when using this, you make sure that the anchor engages in the round regular holes. That’s going to give you the best amount of security for your gear.The hardware that’s included is stainless steel so you don’t have to worry about rust or corrosion.
The tracks are made from durable, rust-free anodized aluminum. Really nice design. Again, two tracks, two anchors. Instructions, hardware, all of that’s included.Now, each track system, the actual tracking, so the aluminum portion, that measures just over 2 feet long; it’s actually 25 and one-eighth inches long. If we include the end caps edge-to-edge, each piece measures 27 and three-sixteenth inches long.The unit features a safe working load limit of 500 pounds, the maximum load or break strength of 1500 pounds.
The mount holes on the unit, again, those are those cone-shaped holes, those are separated on center by 4 inches. This portion back here, you can see that little thin strip, that measures half of an inch wide. The overall track width is 1 inch wide and the overall width including the anchor is an inch and a half.You’ll notice on that anchor has a nice size opening right here. That measures seven-eighth of an inch wide by about nine-sixteenths to five-eighth inches tall. So big enough to get your standard size hook from a ratchet strap or a cam buckle strap or something like that in there and create a nice, secure point.That’s gonna do it for today’s look at the Pro-Grip SR Track with the included anchors.
