2012 Dodge Ram 2500 towing video here. I thought I would bring some gas truck content to the channel I had to tow the 24 foot enclosed cargo trailer back from a jobsite today using the 4th gen 2012 dodge ram 2500.so how does a 5.7 hemi do towing? Still a 3/4 ton pickup truck but there are some differences in my older 2nd gen dodge ram 5.9L 24 valve cummins. The 4th gen dodges have more creature comforts since theyre newer and technology has changed over the years. The 4th gen dodge rams ride a lot smoother and even though this one has 5.7L Hemi V* engine, it had much more horsepower than my 2001 24 cummins does. However, my 2nd gen cummins has more torque than the 4th gen hemi has. I think a comparison video between the 2nd gen 5.9L cummins diesel and 4th gen 5,7L hemi would make a great video while towing the 24 enclosed cargo trailer and comparing overall ride, braking, acceleration, and fuel mileage. I did also get the 24 valve cummins aligned today after installing the new steering linkage on the front end. So the new tie rods and center drag link are on and aligned and we will have it aligned again after getting the ball joints and a few other things done on the old diesel truck!
