Male : Today, on our 2015 Dodge Durango, we’re going to be doing a test fit of the Yakima FatCat. This will be your ski and snowboard carrier for the top of your vehicle, part no. Y03088. As you can see, we’ve already got the front one on our factory cross parts and we’re going to show you how to place on the back one since it goes on the exact same way. First thing you’re going to want to do, is place it up on top of your crossbar, sliding the straps underneath and then placing it up top. Once you have it up top, go ahead and get it a high point where you can have a bit little better access to it, and then line it up with the front crossbars, or the front rack. Then we’ll bring the strap around placing it inside and closing it down. Once you close it down, go ahead and screw down the lock assembly, which is on the inside here and you can see it moving there until it clips in place.
Once, it’s clipped in place, go ahead and move over to the back one. The same way, clipping it around and securing it down. Now if you need to adjust it, you’re going to turn that red dial that is on the inside either to the right or left loosen or tighten that strap. Go on and close it down, and we’ll leave this side open that way we can grab our skis and snowboards. We’ll go ahead and open up the front ones as well, that way we’re ready to receive them. We’ll start off by grabbing our set of skis and putting them up into place. Go ahead and push them over as far as you can.
So you can have 6 sets of skis stacked across or skis and snowboards if you have a family that some like to ski and some like to snowboard, or if you’re a whole family of snowboarders you can do 4 snowboards. So, let’s go ahead and grab our snowboards. Our snowboards don’t have any bindings on them but that’s just so you can see, that if you don’t have enough space in between, you can adjust them either forwards or backward, to the back side of your rack, to accommodate those bindings. So once you have it in place, go ahead and close them down, until they click and you can get them as tight as you need to. There are multiple settings and once you have them nice and secure, go ahead and lock them and you’re ready to hit the road with your Yakima FatCat Ski and Snowboard Carriers, part no. Y03088 on our 2015 Dodge Durango..
As we found when we added one to our long-term fleet, the Dodge Durango GT is a large, functional SUV that’s also sportier than you could expect. That claimed, with a 295-hp V-6 under the hood, it’s nowhere near as effective as the Durango SRT 392. But with the new Rallye Appearance Plan, you can at the very least provide the Durango GT an SRT-inspired look.
Declared today, the Rallye Appearance Plan provides an extra hostile front end, a sportier hood, and LED foglamps. It could not be essential, however Dodge claims the hood scoop and vents are in fact useful. If you tow a lot, it probably can’t injure.
