I fall in love this paint every time I wash the car. I did a similar video with my old MazdaSpeed6 which had a very deep, metallic flake paint called Velocity Red Mica so I figured I’d do one for the Deep Water Blue Pearl on my Charger R/T.

Deep Water Blue Pearl Coat (full name technically) was a special order color only available in 2009 and 2010. Apparently the pigment was sourced from Japan so after the Tsunami hit in 2011, Dodge no longer offered the paint on any of their vehicles. There is also some discrepancy on two possible variations of the paint depending on when it was applied at the factory since PPG has two different formulas for the paint code depending on the cars build date. I had no idea until I had my aftermarket hood painted and my body shop told me that. Pretty cool!
