Latest Dodge Charger – Breakdown of my $374 per month Scat Pack Lease – 21001 Aberdeen MD.
Hello everyone, Sgt392 here, there’s been some interest in a breakdown or further explanation of my $374/mo payment for my Scat Pack. So in this video I’ll go over the process I went through and I’ll show off the paperwork that breaks down my payment. Now in full disclosure I actually pay $386/mo but thats only because I got the Drivercare package for $12/month on top of my payment, and Drivercare gives wheel/tire protection along with a rental car for warranty work and some other goodies. So my base payment would have been $374 without the optional Drivercare.
So my lease is for 42 months with 10k miles per month.
Taking a look at the paperwork and starting at the top left, you see that about 6770 was due at signing. You also can see that the total amount I’ll pay over the 42 months is about $16,250. Moving over you can see that rebates and non-cash credits accounted for 6000 of the amount due at signing and this included a conquest rebate, supplier discount, and whatever regional offers (Great Lakes customer cash) was available at the time, along with the top credit rating available. The $770 I was responsible for, however, I only paid $500 ($512 with Drivercare) at signing which included the first months payment, tax, and fees as you can see to the left. The remaining $258 was eaten by the dealership as you can see with my receipt for only $512.
Moving to the middle you can see the Adjusted Capitalized Cost ended up being $36,177.
The rest of the paperwork is pretty self explanatory, including the purchase price of the vehicle after the lease which is $24, 896.
Again, I did not have an employee discount, however the salesman told me I got nearly that in the deal I ended up with. This was all possible because I contacted over 5 dealerships online inquiring about pricing until I got it to below $400/month. Once I got that offer I found a dealership with a car on the lot that I wanted and I took that email offer to the new dealership and presented it to them and they honored the offer for me.
So hopefully that clears some things up and hopefully I still got a good deal after everyone analyzes the paperwork. I’ve only had the car a little over two months so I’m not sure if I’ll purchase at the end of the lease or turn it back in yet. I don’t plan on having anywhere near 42k miles on it as I only drive under 4k miles a year for work. So let me know if you have any more questions and if you think purchasing this vehicle after 42 months would be worth it or not.
Thanks for watching, take care.
