I’ve been waiting to make this video for the best possible conditions and today was the day.

READ THIS UPDATE AS OF 01/04/2016- A commenter brought it to my attention the timer jumps to each second after .30. The reason for this is because the timer is going off of frames and running at 30fps. Example of correct timing for run #1 = 60 mph at the 22nd frame out of 30 frames (per second). Meaning the 22nd frame of a 30fps timer will always happen at (22/30) 73% of a second, or, .73 seconds which means the run actually comes out to a 4.73 Honestly I’m surprised no one else caught this until today, especially me. Splitting the clip in the editing software also confirms this and you’re welcome to time the runs with your phone or any other device to confirm but this is indeed correct.

REAL TIMES OF ALL FOUR RUNS:
Run 1 = 4.73
Run 2 = 5.06
Run 3 = 5.40
Run 4 = 5.03

Here is all the info regarding the car and runs:

Outside Temperature: 62 degrees Fahrenheit/cloudy
Humidity: 31%

Car Info:
2014 Dodge Charger R/T Blacktop Edition
Only a quarter tank of gas (93 Octane)
I weigh about 150lbs
Spare tire still in the trunk
Sport Mode ON + Paddle shifters enabled
Traction Control off for the first two runs and on for the second two
A/C Turned OFF

Car Mods:
Air Raid Cold Air Intake
Magnaflow Exhaust (Just mufflers and a resonator delete)
3.06 Gears (Came with the Blacktop Package) – These make a huge difference over the stock R/T Chargers
Continental Extreme Contact DW Tires (245/45/20)
Billet Technology Oil Catch Can
Driver mod? 🙂

About the Runs:
Run #1 was honestly flawless. The quick burnout before the run made for a launch with zero wheel spin. I’m really surprised I was able to hit 4.73 but I knew in the moment it felt quick. For my car basically being stock I believe I hold the fastest 0-60 time for an R/T Charger or Challenger that is NOT tuned or heavily modified.
Run #2 was almost a burnout all the way to 40mph – spinning ain’t winning.
Run #3 also had a hard time putting the power to the ground.
Run #4 felt pretty good despite the slight wheel spin at the launch, I’d say this run was a good “average” run for the car.

How was the timing done?
The stopwatch seen in the video is a plug in through my editing software which basically means there is zero room for error as it counts frame by frame. I would start the timing right when the speedometer left 0mph and would stop it right when the speedometer said 60mph. Example of correct timing for run #1 = 60 mph at the 22nd frame out of 30 frames (per second). Meaning the 22nd frame of a 30fps timer will always happen at (22/30) 73% of a second, or, .73 seconds which means the run actually comes out to a 4.73
I hope this clears up any questions but feel free to leave a comment if you have any additional ones.
